Connecticut Supplement – Enfield, CT: Commission on Official Legal Publications, 1935 – presently published. Reports selected memoranda of the judges of the state’s Superior Court. Also reported selected decisions of the Court of Common Pleas until 1978 when the court was merged with the Superior Court. Volumes 1-20 available on CD-ROM in the Connecticut Reports Archive. Reports decisions of the Connecticut Appellate Court. Updated weekly by the Connecticut Law Journal. Available from the Commission; see link above.

Connecticut Reporter

Connecticut Reporter. St. Paul, MN: Thomson Reuters. Reprints the Connecticut cases that appear in the Atlantic Reporter. Depending on court and year, may also be available online through West group.

Connecticut Law Reporter

Connecticut Law Reporter. Guilford, CT: The Connecticut Law Book Company, Inc. 1990 – present. Weekly publication which includes digests of legally significant Superior Court decisions, a table of cases, a table of statutes and Practice Book rules discussed in the reported decisions as well as a subject index. Cumulative indexes and tables are published monthly. Republished in hardbound volumes semiannually with an index of opinions by judges. Includes cases reported in the Connecticut Law Tribune. Some U.S.D.C. or U.S.B.C. cases for the District of Connecticut are summarized in the table of contents and can be ordered through the publisher.

Connecticut Reports Archives Volume II CD-ROM – An eight disk CD-ROM set contains the following volumes, available as a set (including the software used to access the material) from the Commission on Official Legal Publications.

Reports of Cases Adjudged in the Superior Court of the State of Connecticut From the Year 1785, to May 1788; with Some Determinations in the Supreme Court of Errors. Litchfield, CT: Collier & Adam, 1789. Cited as Kirby’s Reports. (Also available online through HeinOnline’s Legal Classics Library.)
  • Root’s Reports Volumes 1 and 2 – Root, Jesse. Reports of Cases Adjudged in the Superior Court and Supreme Court of Errors; with a Variety of Cases Anterior to that Period. Prefaced with Observations Upon the Adjudged, and Rules of Practice Adopted in the Superior Court. Hartford, CT: Hudson and Goodwin, 1798. Cited as Root’s Reports. Covers 1789-1798. Also available online through LLMC Digital’s Connecticut Collection.
  • Day’s Reports Volumes 1-5 – Day, Thomas. Reports of Cases Argued and Determined in the Supreme Court of Errors by the State of Connecticut. Hartford, CT: George Goodwin & Sons, 1817. Covers 1802-1813. Cited as Day’s Reports. Also available online through the Internet Archive.

Published decisions of the Appellate Division of the Circuit Court and of the Circuit Court. Both of these courts have now been abolished or merged into other courts.
  • Phillips’ Connecticut Digest, 3 volume set – Phillips, Richard H.: Phillips’ Connecticut Digest. Enfield, CT: Commission on Official Legal Publications, 1943. Covers decisions reported from Kirby’s Reports to volume 129 of Connecticut Reports. Dowling’s Digest has incorporated all material printed in the supplements to Phillips’ Digest and the Connecticut Circuit Court Reports Digest of Decisions.

Includes all cases reported in the following official publications: Connecticut Reports since volume 53 (1885), Connecticut Supplement since volume 19 (1954), Connecticut Circuit Reports for all six volumes, and all volumes of the Connecticut Appellate Court Reports (1983 – present). Available through LLMC digital through West.

Connecticut Law Tribune

Connecticut Law Tribune. Fairfield, CT: Connecticut Law Tribune, 1975 – present. Weekly newspaper reporting the full text of selected Superior Court cases in the insert: Connecticut Opinions. (This format has changed several times since 1990. From 1986-90, insert title was Connecticut Superior Court Reports; from 1991-92, insert title was Weekly Opinion Service; and from 1993-94, insert title was Connecticut Superior Court Reports.) Since 1986, Connecticut Law Tribune has also published digests of selected opinions from some state administrative agencies and from the U.S. District Court of the District of Connecticut. Also, periodical practice area supplements come as inserts and cover topics such as:
